BIO
Whether he’s DJing behind the decks, producing Miami’s coolest events, or collaborating with some of your favorite dancehall artists, Silent Addy is proving that you don't need to speak loudly to make a lot of noise. Through his acclaimed parties, which have earned him a loyal following and high praise from icons Diplo and Sean Paul, and behind-the-scenes moves as a producer, Addy has become recognized as one of dancehall music’s most influential tastemakers.
Chances are, if you’ve vibed to dancehall in Miami in the past decade, Silent Addy was somehow responsible. Known for creating popular parties Way Up! Thursdays, Miami Vice Episode, Coco Jelly and his latest creation, Bashment TV, Addy can also be heard weekly at Walshy Fire’s Rum & Bass event at Coyo Lounge. Playing records is only one part of Addy’s repertoire. An expert curator and branding innovator, he helped guide Jamaica’s Chi Ching Ching to dancehall stardom and produced sought-after clothing through his company, Kola Champagne. It’s no wonder Red Bull and Major Lazer have consulted him on projects and tapped his expertise for special events. With Vision Sound, his new record label with fellow DJ/producer Ape Drums, and a new monthly mix series for VP Records, Studio 17, 2018 is shaping up to be the year the world hears from Silent Addy.
